Social media marketing is all the rage right now. Facebook is sexy, Twitter is fast and easy, and MySpace - well, you're nobody without a MySpace page. So where does that leave good old blogging? A has been. But, not so fast. Blogging is still one of the best ways to make money online.
If you want to make money blogging in 2009, the following 11 blogging tips offer some sage advice on how to go about it.
To Make Money Blogging in 2009, Get Back to Basics
Blogging Tip #1: Create a Posting Schedule. It makes it easier for readers to follow you; indeed, look forward to your posts. If your schedule is erratic, it will take you that much longer - if ever - to build up a loyal following:
Posting Schedule Tip: Try to do so at least once a week.
Blogging Tip #2: Post from Experience. Did you know that information is the best selling product on the web? And, much of it is written in a "how to" format by authors who've experienced it first-hand.
So share your experiences with readers using the first person (ie, "I"). Readers will come to know, like and trust the info you provide. And, that will make it much easier for you to sell to them (which is the ultimate goal, after all). It will also build up your credibility as an authority in your niche.
Blogging Tip #3: Choose a Niche. Speaking of niche - choose a niche and stick to it. It's where the money is. There's so much info on the web that it's impossible to be everything to everybody. So, clearly define your niche and always post with their wants and needs in mind.
Blogging Tip #4: Interact with Other Popular Blogs in Your Niche. The most effective way to do this is by commenting on other popular blogs in your niche. Make your posts relevant. Don't just post to post. This is pointless and is a waste of time. Use the space to leave helpful, relevant feedback.
Blogging Tip #5: Use Good Grammar. I don't care how good your post is, if it's poorly written, you will lose credibility. Never underestimate the power of good writing.
Blogging Tip #6: Get a Clean Design. You don't have to be a web designer to have an effective blog. After all, readers come for your information. If design is not your forte, don't sweat it. Just use a clean design that's easy to navigate. A clean, simple design is like a little black dress - it's classy - timeless.
Blogging Tip #7: Get Plugins. Plugins are things like "most relevant posts", "most recent posts", etc. They encourage readers to hang around longer. The longer a visitor stays on your blog, the more likely it is they will buy from you - whether right now or at some time in the future.
Blogging Tip #8: Blog with SEO in Mind. What I mean by this is, center each post around a keyword phrase. And, the writing doesn't have to be bad to "force a phrase," just keep SEO in mind when you blog.
Many bloggers forget this. They tend to think in terms of articles or web content when they think of SEO. But, the concepts apply to blogging as well.
Blogging Tip #9: Don't Forget to Market Your Blog. Don't stop at posting. Get mileage out of your posts. Employ "sexy marketing", ie, social bookmarking and networking. Tweet them on Twitter, post them to Facebook and MySpace, stumble them on StumbleUpon, etc.
Social bookmarking and networking tip: These are time-consuming marketing strategies because you have to interact with these communities to make this type of marketing effective. So just keep this in mind when you start with them.
Blogging Tip #10: Personalize Your Blog. Be you; inject some of your personality.
Blogging Tip #11: Don't Give Up. Blogging is more time consuming than many think when they first start. This is why there are so many dead blogs on the web. But remember, success is a marathon, not a sprint. So don't give up.
If you keep these blogging tips in mind as you head into 2009, it could be your must successful year ever as a blogger.

Blogging for Dollars
Blogging for dollars might sound like the latest game show or some new drinking game, but it's the latest craze to hit the Internet. Bloggers began blogging for a number of reasons, but as the blog movement has increased in popularity, they have found ways to monetize their blogs and are seeing their commitment pay off.
Whether a blogger's focus is to communicate with customers or just to have fun, they have begun looking at ways to earn revenue from their blogs. The most popular ways for bloggers to earn some added cash for their pet projects are:
1. ) Google Adsense in Blogs
Google AdSense allows webmasters to dynamically serve content-relevant advertisements in blogs. If the visitor clicks one of the AdSense ads served to the blog, the website owner is credited for the referral. Webmasters need only to insert a Google-generated java script into the blog or blog template. Google's spider parses the AdServing blog and serves ads that relate to the blog's content. Google uses a combination of keyword matching and context analysis to determine what ads should be served.
2. ) Affiliate Programs (Product Endorsements)
Affiliate Programs work when an affiliate web site receives income for generating sales, leads, or traffic to a merchant website. Generally, bloggers will mention or endorse specific products and if site visitors purchase the product, bloggers will receive a portion of the sale.
3. ) Product Promotion
Businesses use blogs to detail how specific features or product add-ons can increase functionality and save time. Content-rich product promotion will help with search engine placement.
4.) Banner Ads
While less popular than in the past, websites with high traffic levels can still earn decent revenue by selling banner space.
As the Internet evolves bloggers will continue to seek out ways to monetize their opinions and thoughts. Daily journals and online blogs have become more than just a communication means to many.

How to Make My Website Come Up First in Google
ontrary to common beliefs having a website that comes up first in Google is not hard at all, you just need to follow few simple steps in optimizing your website and your relatively new website will appear in the top search results.
This article will give you tips that will help your website's pages come up first in Google's results.
Tips that will make your website come up first
* Internal linking is very important: External links are very important but I have lots of pages that show on the top of the results in Google without having any external links pointing to them and without having any page rank . The other very important tip is to let the internal link's anchor text contain the same keywords your original article has. For example when linking to your article that is called "How to become rich fast" from another page don't give the link the title "making money" or "Getting rich" but instead call it "How to become rich fast."
* Write articles that match popular search keywords: Your article's title , keywords and header tags should match popular search keywords. For example if people always search for the keywords "How to become rich fast" then your article should be optimized for this key phrase. For example your article's title and URL path should not be "how to make money" or "how to earn thousands of dollars" but instead it should be "How to become rich fat". For more information see my articles how to optimize my pages for search engines and Increasing search engine hits.
* Does time really matter? Older pages are more respected by search engines but I usually see my new websites showing up in the top results in Google three weeks after the creation date. In short, time doesn't matter, if anyone told you anything other than this know that he doesn't have enough experience.
* Your main page should be stuffed with keywords that are related to your articles: Pretty self explanatory, taking the last example into consideration the main page should contain the keywords "Become rich" and "Fast". Of course its much better to have the whole key phrase in the main page if possible.
* Does frequent updates really matter?: yes, updating your website daily is a must. Google gives higher importance to websites that are updated daily. You can take one or two days off but try to update your website during the rest of the days.

Search Engine Optimization For Blogs
Blogging software is really a simple Content Management System (CMS) that easily adds new pages and integrates them into your site's navigational structure and linkage.
Blogs and blog posts are naturally search engine friendly because they are text-rich, link-rich, frequently-updated webpages that use stylesheets or CSS, and have very little extraneous HTML.
Optimizing a blog is very similar to optimizing a website, and optimizing a blog post similar to optimizing a web page.
But depending on the blogging service or software you use, the results may look somewhat different.
If you follow some simple rules for search engine optimization, your blog can rank much higher than static website pages in the search engine results pages.
Here are the most important rules to follow to get your posts listed for keywords of your choice.
1. Use your primary keyword in your blog domain
Whether you purchase a separate domain (recommended) for your blog, or host it on a blogging service or a subdomain of your own site, try to ensure that your URL contains the primary keyword you want to optimize for.
For example, if you want your blog to get found for the keyword "rss" get a domain with the keyword "rss", or use the keyword in a subdomain as in
http://www.rssnewssite.com/blog/
Getting a domain name with your own name might make for good branding, especially if yours is a personal blog.
But if you're doing it for business and want the targeted traffic to flow your way, keywords in the domain or subdomain are a move in the right direction.
2. Use your primary key phrase in your blog header tags and the title of your posts
If your primary key phrase is "business blogging" make sure that the word business, or blogging, or both, appear in your blog headers (the H1 or H2 tags) as well as the title of each of your posts.
Most blogging software will take the keywords in your post title and put them into the file name of the permalink posts it creates.
For example, if you have a blog on Blogger and title your post "Search Engine Optimization For Blogs", Blogger will automatically create a page with your post and name the file "search-engine-optimization-for-blogs.html" or something similar.
With other server-side software like Wordpress and Movable Type, you may require the mod_rewrite command to save the title of your entries as a permalink.
3. Use your secondary keywords in the body of your post
If you want to get listed for secondary keywords use them infrequently in the body of your post and pepper your blog titles or links with them appropriately.
Don't overdo this or your posts will end up sounding unnatural and spammy to readers.
4. Use your keywords in the anchor text of links
Keyword in links have more importance than simple text.
Use your primary and secondary keywords in the anchor text of links when linking to other blog posts or to other pages on your main site.
Link keywords where they naturally appear in the body text, but again, don't overdo it, or you'll end up with spammy looking pages.
5. Make sure search engines can spider your blog easily
Set up your blog so that the side navigation bar is present on all pages.
Make sure your archives and previous posts are accessible from all pages of your blog so they get spidered easily.
6. Get backlinks from other blogs or websites
Links pointing to your blog or posts are essential to build pagerank and make your blog rank higher in the search engine listings.
I've seen many people recommend Blogrolling as one method of building links to your blog.
BlogRolling is a one-stop linklist manager for your blog or journal. http://www.blogrolling.com/
But all this service actually does is give you a bit of javascript code that "calls" the links.
As far as search engine rankings go, this method of linking is of little use, because spiders can't read external javascript code.
Instead I recommend that you focus your linking efforts on the methods here.
Submitting to Blog Search Engines and Directories:
Submitting your blog and RSS feed to blog search engines and directories is essential for getting high-quality links back to your blog.
Here is the best list I've found of places to submit your feed or blog.
http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/
Link Exchanges:
Many similarly-themed blogs are often willing to exchange links with other blogs and form richly interlinked networks or communities. Link exchanges with other blogs are easy to implement with most blogging software.
Trackbacks:
You can also get links back to your blog using trackbacks. One of the disadvantages of using Blogger is that it does not automatically create trackback urls that others can use to link back to your posts.
Haloscan is a free service that will automatically add comments and trackbacks to your Blogger blog.
http://www.haloscan.com
But if trackbacks are an important component of your linking strategy, I would advise using another software or system that adds this feature automatically.
Comments:
You can also get back links to your blog by posting legitimate comments in response to posts on other blogs.
7. Update frequently
There's no better food for search engine spiders than fresh content.
Post and update your blog frequently using all the rules outlined above and there's no reason why your blog will not get you top rankings in a short period of time.
8. Stay put
Once you create your blog, try to stick to the same domain and blog host or system for as long as you continue to publish.
You could end up losing a lot of your traffic, your readers and all your search engine listings if you decide to move.

Blogging Secrets - How to Attract Traffic to Your Blog
Even if you don't want to make money off your blog (in which case you'd be a rare breed), there's still some satisfaction to be had from seeing thousands of people read your stuff. If you do want to make money off your blog, you'd know that those visitor statistics can easily be converted into cash. Either way, here are some blogging secrets that should get readers flocking to you in no time.
1. (Blog) Roll All Around
Don't underestimate the power of the blogroll, that list on the right or left side of a blog page that enumerates related or associated blogs. If you get yourself on another blog's blogroll, that's instant promotion for you because your blog's link will be posted on the other's page. It's a great way to multiply traffic for the two of you, especially if you write about similar or related topics.
2. Get There First
Just like with the field of journalism, you get an instant edge over the competition when you get a scrap of information first. If you happen to get information related to your blog's niche, go right on over to your blog and post it.
Remember, blogs aren't just for one-time visitors. They work best if you try to target the kind of crowd that reads a post once, bookmarks your blog and then keeps coming back for more.
3. Get All the Pretty Pictures
Aside from keeping your blog interesting enough for people to return, images and photos in your entry will make your blog even easier to search. Even if people search for just images and not text content, your blog will still show up on the search results pages. What's more, the ALT text is extra space for keywords. This is one of the lesser known blogging secrets that is well-loved and oft-used by the people who know about it.

Traffic : Tips For Running A Profitable Blog
The easiest way to build your Blog business is to draw traffic to your Blog/site. That means you need to know the concept of traffic building in order to know what works and what doesn't work. It isn't as simple as submitting your URL to the search engines though that will certainly draw traffic initially. You need to have a blogsite that will appeal to visitors so that they not only want to return but also want to tell others about your website. Even within the online community word of mouth-or in this case word of fingers-is the most effective means of advertising.
In addition to having a well-designed webblog/site, the content on your website must be of high quality. Many website owners today use traffic building that includes quality content that is relative to the products and services they are promoting. They usually will hire or contract writers who are experienced in SEO writing in order to help with the traffic building process. Articles that are optimized for the search engines will provide more visitors because of their high rankings with the search engines. The way to ensure the most effective traffic building is to ensure that your website appears in the first three pages of search results.
Traffic building is the most important thing you can do for your website. If you want to be successful in your online business traffic building is an essential part of reaching that goal. This is more essential if you have a non-disposal product or service since you will need to be on the lookout for new customers.
In conclusion no traffic no success. Remember the number 1 success factor in online busines blogging business is traffic, traffic and traffic.

How To Make Money With Blogs:Common Problems with Blogs
Blogs are a portion of the many technological advancements we have seen in recent day,
but they have quickly become extremely popular. People can create them to share their
thoughts, ideas, and expertise with others around the world. There are vast quantities of
blogs out on the internet these days, but not all of them are created equally. Many are
excellent, but others are more painful to read. Just what exactly makes a blog less than
enjoyable? This can be attributed to any number of reasons.
First of all, it can sometimes be difficult to find a blog that best fits your current need.
For example, doing an internet search for a blog on a specific topic could bring up
hundreds of sites. Some will be large sites such as Blogger that host lots of smaller
blogs, and you will have to weed through to find the one that you need.
Another problem with blogs is the content. A blog is intended to be a forum for
expressing yourself to the world. Unfortunately, too many people tend to use it as a chat
room between friends. They write all about local events and such and comment back and
forth in that way. People also tend to use phrases and/or slang that is only familiar to
their friends. This alienates potential readers who might like to gain some knowledge
from the blog.
In addition, there are often too many blogs out there that have just not been updated. It
seems that people start them up but do not take the time to post after a while. It would be
helpful if blog owners realized that people often want the information they can provide
and would like to form a readership relationship with the writer. However, this means
the writer has to hold up his end of the bargain and furnish valuable, educational content
for the blog.
Speaking of content, if you consider creating a blog, think of an intelligent topic. For
example, consider starting a blog that would be more along the lines of a philosophical
discussion or spiritual exploration. There are already too many blogs on the web devoted
to people's favorite actors or actresses. Share your knowledge and passion with the
world; just choose the less trivial knowledge!
Another common problem with blogs is the commenting feature. It is virtually useless in
many cases. A large number of blog owners have a place for comments available, but
many do not bother to respond to the comments placed. It is difficult to create a
readership if you leave them feeling insignificant or ignored.
The world of blogging can be fresh, interesting, and exciting. However, it takes some
work by the blog writers to create relevant blogs that are useful for a wide range of
people. Chat rooms were created for small talk and intimate conversations. Blogging is
meant to create a community that can share information and passion on various topics. If
writers will focus on the readership more than on themselves, blogs would be better for
everyone!

Dictionary of the Top Ten Terms in Blogs
Dictionary of the Top Ten Terms in Blogs
People who are interested in creating blogs for themselves often have trouble reading self
help articles because they do not understand the terminology. Failing to understand what
basic terms mean can create an unnecessarily large workload. Following are a brief
explanation of the top ten blog terms, designed to aid the beginner in gaining a basic
understanding.
1. Blogs - Believe it or not, there are actually people out there who do not know
what a blog is. So, we placed this word at the top of the list of important terms.
The word "blog" is actually short for "web log." Basically, a blog is an online
journal that is created and maintained by individuals. Although it is defined as a
journal, it does not mean it is a place for one to bear his soul for the world.
Instead it is often used a place for people to share information on a topic they are
interested in and offer advice to others. Some bloggers are even able to use a blog
to make money.
2. Pinging- This is a very important tool for those who want to help their blog be
noticed by as many people as possible. Many sites provide this service at no cost
and will notify search engines each time a blog is updated. This will help your
blog rank higher on the list of popular sites, thus making it more easily located by
readers.
3. Linking - Many who write blogs place links throughout their content. These links
will direct readers to other sites that provide additional information on the blog
topic and also help to show the reliability of the blogger. Providing readers with
additional information will actually help improve readership instead of send it
elsewhere.
4. Posts - Posts are simply new entries made into your blog. Every time you update,
you make a new post.
5. Template - This refers to the setup of the blog site itself. Most new blogs come
with a standard template, but you will want to try and make it as unique and
aesthetically pleasing as possible. Expressing your individuality through the
template will help make your blog more memorable.
6. Blog host - To begin a blog, you have to sign up with a blog host. These are sites
such as Blogger or MySpace. Generally a blog host is a large site that offers
blogs to any number of subscribers. Many offer this for free, so be wary of a
group that requires payment for the service.
7. Blog directory - A blog directory is an online database that categorizes various
blogs found on the internet. You will want to make sure your blog is added to a
directory to help spread the word about your blog.
8. Niche - Articles often advise people to find their niche and start a blog on that
topic. A niche is the purpose of your blog. It refers to what your blog is about.
Will you choose to create a serious blog about politics or religion? Or will you
offer a more laidback blog that focuses on music or movie stars? What you
decide will determine your niche.
9. RSS feed - An RSS feed is code that can be created with your blog that allows
your readers to subscribe to it. Readers will not have to check your blog on a
regular basis to see if you have made an update but will automatically be
informed each time you make a change.
10. Trackback links - Trackback links provide notification to other bloggers anytime
you refer to their blog in a post. It will also include a link to your site from theirs.
For those just starting out, these terms should help to make many advice articles easier to
understand. If you continue to find terminology with which you are unfamiliar, research
it carefully before making additional decisions regarding your job. Remember, education
is power!

How To Start A Blog
In recent years, blogging has become a new sort of art form. In the sense that all writing
is art, blogging is just another branch of that. Many who spend the time creating and
maintaining a blog are those who choose to use the internet as their means of sharing
their thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and everything about life in between.
Many people use these blogs to share themselves with others all over the world. Those
who choose to do so can easily set up an account with a blog provider and create their
own personal journals. This is a great avenue of expression for many.
Recently, however, trends have also shifted towards the use of business blogs. These are
used to promote companies or products. Bloggers generally post articles that are relevant
to the company or product and are intended to draw attention from potential customers.
This can help to increase sales, thus becoming a profitable venture.
For those interested in creating a blog, consider the following tips to insure that your blog
does exactly what you want it to do.
First of all, it is important to take into consideration the audience to whom you will be
addressing. No matter what your purpose, you have to generate a blog that will be
interesting to them. A blog is your voice, but you have to "speak" in a way that others
can understand and will want to return in order to be successful.
Secondly, remember the importance of pictures. Often, a good picture can say more than
pages of writing. Not only does it say what you cannot many times, but it also helps to
make your blog more entertaining to browse. This does not mean you have to post
personal pictures of yourself. Remember to be safe and also to protect the privacy of
others, but you can post any photo that does not insult those who would be reading your
blog.
Next, consider being constructive in your writing. You blog can be on any topic, or lack
thereof, that you wish, but consider using that avenue to be of some benefit to others.
Sure, you can write about anything you want, but it is often nice to include some articles
that would be helpful to those reading your blog. Provide some useful information
instead of just entertainment.
Along the lines of keeping the interest of your readers, do not make a blog that is too
technical or formal. Using complicated techniques or extremely highly-educated
language may turn off readers instead of welcoming them. Remember that you can make
quick factual statements and shorter blog comments instead of feeling that you have to
make a lot of long entries. You are generally not writing to an audience made up solely
of scholars.
In addition, remember that most people who read blogs typically enjoy the internet by
scanning for information. You would be best advised to offer shorter statements and
colorful pictures with article links than to offer long articles that readers may find too
overwhelming. As mentioned earlier, remember who your audience is.
Finally, if possible, add some sort of interactive function to your blog. You can include
videos or audio segments. You can also have a guestbook or comments area where
readers can post their own thoughts in relation to what you have said. You will be able to
see how others react to your reactions about life.
Yes, even those blogs that are created for fun serve a purpose. Whether you create a blog
to sell a product or just sell your sense of humor to the rest of the world, a blog is a great
avenue for creative writing.

How To Make $100 A Day With Your Blog
Many people online look for that one big opportunity that will make them millions of dollars. The truth of the matter is that there is not ONE big opportunity, but several good opportunities that will make you a lot of money. Keep finding opportunities and using them and you will start to see the money coming in. I'd like to teach you a very easy to use technique that you can use to create a $100 a day income in a very short period of time.
Your first step in this process is to find 10 different topics. You'll be able to find topics all around you. In the news, in forums, in the search engines, and thousands of other places. Once you decide on your topic, you are going to create an ebook 10-20 pages in length for each topic. Within each ebook, you will need to make sure you place affiliate links related to the ebook topic.
Once you have these ebooks created I suggest you also create some graphics for them. It just gives your ebook more appeal and shows people what they are getting. Since the Internet is a virtual store, you will need to give people images to relate to. I have seen my ebook download increase by over 200% by showing people a graphic of the ebook.
Now that you have your ebooks and graphics created, it's time to find as many ebook directories as you possibly can and submit your ebooks to these directories. You can find a list of ebook directories by going to http://www.marketingforrealpeople.com/ebook-directory-list.htm
As you submit your ebook to more and more directories, more and more people will begin downloading them and reading them. The more people read them, the more opportunity you will have of making money when they purchase a product or service through your affiliate links within your ebooks.
So why create 10 of these ebooks?
Because you should make an average of at least $10 a day from each ebook which would give you a $100 a day income. If you're not making this much, try putting different affiliate links in your ebooks. Test and track your affiliate links until you are satisfied with the income you are getting.
As you add more ebooks, your daily income will also go up.
You don't have to use this technique with affiliate links only. You could also use this technique to drive traffic to your Blogsite that you have placed Google Adsense ads on. Instead of mentioning a product or service that you could get affiliate commissions on, mention your Blogsite that you have Google Adsense ads on.
With a little time and effort, you could easily be making $100 a day with this easy and simple technique. If you put a little hard work up front, you will reap a lot of rewards in the end. More...

Five Tips to Managing Time with Your Blog
So you want to start a blog but you are afraid you do not have the time to devote to it? If
you want to have your own space on the internet and have the opportunity to show your
inner self to the world, blogging may be the answer. Consider these five tips to making
your blog as time efficient as it is exciting.
1. First of all, you may want to consider setting up a community blog. A community
blog is one that is run by many people who are like minded, instead of simply by one
individual. This helps to eliminate the needs for constant posting by one person. With
several people comprising a team of bloggers, each person can post a couple of times a
week and result in a blog that is relatively active.
2. If you do not want to create a blog with a community of bloggers working together,
you can also choose to hire a team of bloggers. This is similar to the way newspapers use
contributing authors for articles. In fact, many successful blogs are successful because
they do just that. This helps to insure active posting and timely posting, thus making
your blog more appealing to visitors. This also helps to increase your audience because
each blogger will bring with it his or her own group of influence. Like this idea but not
sure about the expense? You can offset the cost by allowing the display of Adsense
advertisements. This can, in fact, even turn out to be a profit making venture as well.
3. Next, you can recycle content to save time. Search for relevant articles on your
topic(s) and break them down into segments appropriate for a blog. You can also use
partial interviews and other things. Consider selecting a longer piece and breaking it
down into smaller blogs that could last a week. You can set this up and post parts daily
as a series.
4. Another way to save time is to use audio in your blog. Some people simply find it
easier to speak into a microphone than to write something. It is perfectly acceptable to
mix things up and use a variety of both in your blog. Use an MP3 recorder or phone to
record your blogs. This is convenient for those who stay on the go or those who are held
up in traffic or an unexpected meeting. You can record thoughts as soon as they come to
you instead of having to wait and try to remember it all later.
5. Finally, you can automate your blog. Many blog programs allow you to create blogs
ahead of time to be published at a future date and time. So, if you have some free time,
you can create blogs for the rest of your week. Automate them to post each day, and your
blog remains updated with no extra work on your part. This can be a huge timesaver if
you do not have to sit at the computer to type every single day. There are days when we
do not have enough time or space to say everything we want to say. There are other days
when we would prefer not to talk at all. Instead of having several entries on one day and
then nothing for the next two or three days, you can write it all at once and have it post
each day.

you want to have your own space on the internet and have the opportunity to show your
inner self to the world, blogging may be the answer.

Blogging: Networking With Blogs
Dear friend,
Happy Presidential inauguration. That is talking of the inauguration of the 44th President of the
United State Of America, Barrack Obama, the first black president in the history of the country.
In the past, people relied on websites for networking. Today, however, the newest thing
to hit the internet craze is the blog, or web log. It is fairly easy to create a blog to journal,
talk about events, express your thoughts and ideas, or do just about anything you want.
Without having to have a website yourself, you can create a blog that is hosted by a mass
blog website.
Blogs really hit the public scene during the 2004 presidential election. The reason is that
it gave many people a place to be heard both as a journalist and political commentator.
However, that type of blog is not always right for everyone. If you consider using a blog
for your own networking purposes, you can use it as a sort of diary or a place to share
your expertise on a particular topic.
Blogs can be updated quite easily and are hosted on a website, so you do not have to
worry about any lack of knowledge in the area of sites themselves. You may find that
you can use a blog instead of a newsletter and it would actually reach more people
because it could be viewed by anyone searching for keywords contained in your blog.
This means more profit, if you are using your blog as a money making device, because
you make more money when you reach more people.
But what are the benefits of your own blog? First of all, you are giving people a chance
to know you and learn from you. In a sense, you are generating a clientele or following.
Secondly, you give others an easy way to recommend you. They only have to provide a
link to others to tell them what is great about you! Finally, it helps you to stay on top of
things and become a cutting edge expert. You will have to do some research to make
sure your topics are fresh and interesting, and this will help you to know what is going on
in your area.
Once you decide that networking with blogs might be right for you, how do you get
started? There are three things that are most highly recommended for beginners to do
before jumping in headfirst. Consider the following tips.
First of all, take the time to read other blogs. Do a search on your favorite search engine
for blogs related to your potential topic. See what else is out there. This will help you to
see what types of things are being done in blogs that are successful and what things are
being done in blogs that are not doing as well. Consider emailing blog owners and
asking for guidance and assistance. In many cases, blog owners are more than happy to
help and are not as competitive as one might assume.
Secondly, research and read up on RSS. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is
one of several ways to publish your blog online. You can search for a free RSS reader in
your favorite search engine and use it to kelp keep track of the blogs you are reading.
Finally, start a blogging! Some prefer to create their plan ahead of time while others want to
start it up and go with the flow. If you are prepared to take some time up front to get set
up, you'll be ready to roll in no time! Just go to www.blogger.com and create your blog in just 3 steps

How To Maximize Your Earnings With Google Adsense
After earning tens of thousands of dollars from Google Adsense I am going to go over the tactics that have worked for me in maximizing my Google Adsense income.
Where you place your Adsense adverts is one of the most significant factors that you need to consider when designing your web page. Adverts placed above the fold will receive more attention and consequently will generate more clicks.
You also need to look at the best performing ad formats to use. Historically the 336x280, then the 300x250 have worked very well for me. After these two formats I would rate the 160x600 wide skyscraper as the next best format. The reason these ad formats work so well is that they look similar to content.
After the placement and ad format the color of the ads are the next most significant in increasing your Google Adsense earnings. You need to avoid colors that make the adverts contrast too much or induce blindness. Use a white background and make the color of the advert the same as the text color of your web page. This is to make the advert look like content. It is preferable to have blue as the color of text as a blue text link is more likely to be clicked as people are conditioned to blue hyperlinks.
You also need to experiment with the adverts on your web site. No two web sites are alike and what may work on one may not work on another. This largely depends on the type of audience and their web behaviour patterns.
Links represent an additional way of earning money from Google Adsense. If the adverts are not directly related to the content you can earn money money from the link units which represent different categories that are similar to the content. I have found the best results to be when you include the link units in your navigation scheme so that they look part of the menu.
As soon as you start applying these Google Adsense tips your revenue will increase.

Creating a Successful Blog
Welcome friends,
It is almost a necessity for an online business owner to have a blog these days. There are
all types of blogs out there: informative blogs, personal blogs, and marketing jobs, to
name a few. Now businesses have to compete using these blogs to receive a higher
ranking in the search engines.
In order to have a successful blog, you will need to insure that it is well-written. You will
also have to check to make sure it is designed well and that you can update it frequently
and regularly. You need to take the time to research and know your audience before you
start so you can be sure to target them appropriately.
But what if you are not trying to start a blog for business purposes? How can you create
a blog that is successful if you just want to have a blog? There are some tips you can
apply to help insure that your blog will do well.
First of all, select your topic. Since you aren't using your blog for marketing your
product, you can write about anything that appeals to you. You can use a blog as your
own personal online journal or you can use it as your forum to comment on the news.
Just be sure to choose something you are passionate about, something that you know
well, and something that will allow you a chance to show the world the real you with all
your talents, knowledge, and ideas.
Secondly, write your blog as if you were conversing with a friend. Make your writing
conversational and free from a lot of technical jargon, unless you are directing it only
towards a very specific readership. Post frequently because having more content on your
blog will help more people to find it through search engines.
Use your blog to get your opinions out to the world. You are not moderated and you are
free to express yourself in whatever way you choose. However, do not use your blog to
insult people or try to damage businesses or organizations. Be wise in the decisions you
make regarding your blog usage. Remember that you are influencing people's views and
they will be evaluating your credibility. If you are offensive, you may lose readership.
Finally, take time to promote your blog. Don't be afraid to keep the URL for your blog
in the signature line of your emails. Your URL is your Blog address, i.e http://easycash-online.blogspot.com .You never know when an email might cross the path of someone who might be interested in what you have to say. If you publish a newsletter,
be sure to promote it there as well. Finally, you can join blog directories and post the link
there or join forums related to your topic and share your link with others.
If you do consider using a blog for business purposes, realize that it needs frequent
updating and good, solid content. Some people consider paying someone to maintain the
content aspect of the blog once it has been created. Many people make extra money
serving as content writers and prove to be beneficial to blog owners.

Blogging: Good Content for your Blog
Many online retailers today have begun to use blogs to increase traffic to their websites.
These retailers attract potential customers by offering articles and website content that is
relevant to the interests of site visitors. This can prove to be a very profitable addition to
your site if you know how to create good content for your blog.
First of all, you have to be able to maintain interest in the topic yourself. If you spend
time writing articles or content on a subject that is of little or no interest to you, your
boredom will surely come across in your articles. However, if you choose to write about
something you are passionate about, then readers will see how devoted you are to the
subject yourself and they will also pick up some of that passion themselves.
It is also important to write about something you care about because you will have to
spend a little time keeping your blog updated. New information and content should be
added regularly to keep your readers coming back for more. You will also have to spend
some time doing research on your topic to make sure your ideas stay current!
After you have decided on the theme of your blog, start posting and work out a schedule
as to how often and when you will post. It is a good idea to try and post something at
least once a day. It may not always be a full length article, but even a comment on
another article, which you can give a link to, will help to keep you current. It will take
some effort to get your blog going, but once you are on the right track, it will become
easier and easier to maintain.
Eventually, no matter how into your topic you are, there will come a day when you just
are not feeling the passion. There are some ways you can cope with that. There are
methods you can use to help create new content for your blog without feeling like you are
doing the same thing day in and day out.
First of all, check out what other bloggers are doing with blogs on your topic. Many
times you can post a blog that is actually in response to something another person wrote
on their site. You can do this as long as you post a link back to the other person's blog.
This can actually draw new readers as you "network" with others.
Also take the time to look at forums related to your topic. These forums can give you
ideas for questions and answers to those questions, as well as possible article topics as
you talk with others. This helps you gain knowledge of your field and gain new contacts
who can become potential readers and then potential customers.
If you still need something to blog about, search for your topic in a search engine such as
Yahoo or Google. You can search for news articles related to your field. These articles
can serve as a springboard to help you find something to talk about.
Remember the importance of consistency in posting. You want major search engines to
find your site, and this is done through optimization of your blog articles. If you have a
higher ranking with a search engine, you will in turn attract more potential customers and
generate more profit!

Increasing Website Traffic Through Blogs
Dear Friends,
It is no secret that blogs can do amazing things for a business. Now we are beginning to
realize just how powerful they are and how they can work to increase traffic to your
website in no time. By implementing some of the strategies below, you can do this
quickly and easily.
What is a blog? It is a place for you to share your thoughts, ideas, and vision to the
world. Reading blogs has become a hobby for many, and they use it to glean information
on various topics. If you can hook in these readers, you could potentially have up to one
million website visitors a day!
First of all, you need to be aware of the template used to create the look of your blog.
Create a large banner to be placed in the center of the top of the page. This shows people
quickly what the blog is about and who is running it. This can be a great hook to catch
people from the first time they view your site.
Choose carefully the look of your site because a person's initial impression will come
solely from how aesthetically pleasing your blog is. If you do not want to take the time
to create your own template, you can find many templates available online that are free or
cost a very small amount. Use your favorite search engine to find these templates and
look around until you find the one that is perfect for you.
Next, you need to work on content for your site. What is content? Content refers to the
articles or postings that you write and publish on your blog. You can use some sort of
blogging software that will help you in easily creating content and publishing it. You can
also scour the internet for article sites that will provide content at little or no cost and will
allow you to post these on your site. Having relevant content will help your site maintain
a strong readership by always offering them something new and interesting.
Finally, you can use pinging services to help draw people to your website. Pinging
notifies the most popular search engines each time you make a change to your blog. This
helps to move your blog up in the ranks of popular websites, making it higher on the list
of ones which viewers find first. You can find a number of websites that offer pinging
services for free, so look around before selecting one.
There is no way to create a successful blog overnight. It is a combination of hard work
and interesting content. If you will take the time to create a unique template, write strong
content, and use available pinging services, you will have no trouble increasing website
traffic over time. It is important to stay focused and not allow yourself to get discouraged
too quickly. Once you build a readership, you will be able to keep them as long as you
are regular with postings and make sure that the information you provide is relevant.
