Google Adsense: The Easiest Way To Earn With Your Blog-Lesson 3

Welcome back, hope you enjoyed the second lesson in our Adsense series. In that lesson you learnt how to simply get a Blogger account in 3 simple steps without a knowledge of web designing.

In this post you are going to learn more simple steps to follow to make money with your blog.Yes money, even if you are entirely new to blogging and adsense. Just pay attention to every details and follow the steps.

Now, your blog has to be customized to look like one that makes money. The first thing I do is to revert to classic template. Now don't be carried away with that. The reason why I do this is to be able to place my adsense well since I do not know HTML(that is the programming language of the internet) so much. However,if you understand html very well, you may not do so.To revert to the classic template, simply click on layout/Template,go and click on edit HTML,scroll down the page that opens until you see a link that says "revert to classic template".Click on it and say yes on the small box that comes up.

The next thing to do is to hide the blogger bars of your blog.According to Akin Alabi,the bar makes your blog look unprofessional.To do this,follow the following steps;

1: Log into your account

2: Click on LAYOUT.If you have reverted to classic template, click on TEMPLATE,then click on "edit HTML". When you get there, you'll see lots of codes in the "edit template"box. On the 7th or 8th line of those codes, you'll see

3: Click after and press enter on yourkeyboard.Step

4: Paste the following codes:

Step

5: Click "Save Template"That's it. Check out your blog and the bar must have vanished.

After this, you will have to do a test post on your blog before we can continue. To do this click on "post"type TEST and Publish.
For your blog to be active.---->Now,go to Settings which should consist of 8 tabs.On the tab for "publishing" make sure weblogs is turned onOn the tab for "comments" make sure you turn it to anyone can comment. Click "save settings' after changes in each place.

You will now have to insert adsense to your blog. But before you do that, your blog has to have a post that is relevant to the theme of your website. So,rush down to http://www.ezinearticles.com/ and grab an article that is relevant, short and optimized for your keyword. Post it on your blog neatly.

Now to sign for Google adsense, simpy click on template if you have reverted to classic template.you will see a tab that says "adsense" at the top.Click on it and fill in the required info.Make sure you choose rectangle for the size of the adsense and choose blend template so that the ads will match the backgroundof your blog at the top(You will need to check your email and complete the google registration there.)
Note that it takes 24-48 hours for google to activate your adsensebecause they will have to check your blog before putting ads on it.

You also have to put adsense at the right sidebar of your blog( not compulsory but that what i do). Then Sign in to your adsense account at www.google.com/adsense , Click on "adsense setup",----------> Adsense for content and create the format of the adsense to place on your sidebar. This area might be a little bit tricky. So, ask questions if you can'tunderstand a particular area.------------>Choose skyscrapers and choose background colours and bordercolours that will blend with the colour of your side bar.Copy the Code you will get after the process.

Now go back to the HTML section of your blog, scroll down towards the end till you see something like thisPlace your cursor at the end,hit ENTER and paste the code you copied from adsense.click "save template settings"Remember,it will take 24-48 hours for Google ads to start displaying. Now,go and view your blog.

PS: The next post is going to be on driving traffic to your blog and this is where the real money is. Just make sure to check back and dont forget to ask questions and drop your comments.

In the first lesson we introduce Google Adsense as the easiest way to earn online income without spending a dime, at least not if you did not want to.We also learn that all you need to do is to get a rich content website or a FREE Blog with some amount of traffic(that is people visiting your website or blog ), then apply for a free adsense account, where google will place some small ads on your site thereby making you income on auto pilot if visitors to the site click on the ads.

In this lesson we are going to be discussing creating your blog because it will form the basis of our adsense business. I know you might want to ask me why blog and not a website. Yes, i favoured blog because it is what i use to get result and because blogs are free. And since you are just starting out without big income to start with, it is better to go the way of FREE Blogs.

What is a Blog?
Blogging is a way of collecting links to webpages and sharing thoughts and ideas with people online.Blogs (or Weblogs) are basically online journals or diaries which are great for sharing information and ideas.I call a blog an online journal that is frequently updated. If you understand the concept of keeping a diary, you will understand the concept of blogging.

According to Blogger.com: “A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.”

As well as text, blogs often contain audio, music, images and video. They’re also really easy to make, so you can have one even if you aren’t very technical.Anything can be posted instantly to a blog.

Types of Blog?
There are several blogging platforms but the most common ones are Blogger.com, Wordpress.com, Typepad.com, Reallifelog.com,etcOf all the blogging platforms i am most familiar with Blogger and Wordpress but i favoured Blogger.com because it is what i use to get the most result, it is free and most of all it is easy to use. With Blogger.com to get your blog running you need just 3 Easy steps and in less than 15 minutes you are done and you dont need to be an expert to create a blog. You can start posting to your blog immediately, hope you can see why i favoured Blogger.com.

The 3 Step to creating a Blog with Blogger.com are;

1. Create an account-that is, sign up with blogger.com

2. Name your blog- choose a name based on the niche that you are interested in blogging on

3. Choose a Template- Dont need a knowledge of web designing because you lots of ready made template to choose from.

After submitting your account blogger will send a congratulatory message telling you that your account was successful and that you can start posting immediatelly. You can do a test post by clicking on create a new post and write a "welcome to my blog " and click publish, viola your blog is up and running. You can then start posting on your niche topic you come back daily, twice weekly or weekly.

Well i have to stop now, but make sure you come back for lesson 3 on this series of,"Google Adsense: The Easiest Way to Make Money online". But please dont forget to ask questions or leave a comment so as to make my job of educating you easy.

Make Your Blog Unique

Setting Your Blog Apart From the Rest

Spend just a few minutes searching the web, and you will find an overwhelming number
of blogs on just about any topic imaginable. With so many blogs available, it can be
difficult to make yours stand out above the rest. Whether you are starting out with a new
website or you want to make your current blogging website more noticable, there is a
foundation for the creation and upkeep of both. Capturing the interest and attention of
readers is your ultimate goal, and this goal can be reached by finding your area of
expertise or your niche. Providing information on a topic of interest that will fill a void
left by other blogs can help you to build a group of readers who will stay interested.
Don't get me wrong - you will still have to work to make your blog appealing, but if you
find the special place where your voice can be heard, you will find success.

Obviously, every outstanding blog must begin with an outstanding idea. It is impossible
to create a site that will last if you do not have one. Take a look an some good existing
blogs and you can easily see why competition in this area is so fierce. To make your blog
stand out in this very visible crowd, you have to be able to offer readers something that
no one else can at the moment. This may mean you offer up a totally new idea, or it can
mean that you may use a topic that is already available but you offer it up in a unique or
more impressive sort of way.

Througout the process of setup, it is very important that you take the time to research
existing blogs and know what is out there. Understanding your competition is the key to
being successful. One way to find a perfect model for your own blog website is to spend
time looking at sites that have already built up an audience for themselves. You can
often incoporate many of their strategies and ideas into your own blog. However, keep in
mind that you will still need to add your own personality and beat to make your blog
stand out. Most blog readers agre that it a unique flair that draws them to blog sites.
They tend to become repeat readers of a blog that shows the creators personality and
interests and is written in that blogger's own voice. This applies both to the design and
layout of the site and to the content featured there.

After you have decided on the perfect idea, spend time deciding what special niche you
are going to be able to fill. Remember that it needs to be something you care about,
something you are genuinely interested in, to keep the blog going. If you write bout
something that you are not fully engrossed in, you will not be able to maintain the
attention and excitement in that project. Readers can sense a blogger's enthusiasm and
knowledge immediately through the blog.

In the end, though, a good idea alone will not send you to the top of the blogging success
list. You also have to create for yourself a marketing scheme that is realistic and will
attract readers to your site. Once you get them there, enthusiastic and knowledgable
content will keep them there. Remember, though, that you never get a second chance to
make a first impression. Take time out to get started in the beginning with an attractive
site, follow up with great content, and enjoy blogging success!

YES you can,

Blogging For Money?

Hi friends,

Do you blog to have fun or to make money? Which do you prefer?

Blogs are enjoyable to create. It gives people a forum to voice their opinions on various
issues or just make general observations on life. You can say what you want about
anything. Your blog can be your personal diary and can also be your public journal for
everyone else to read what you think. It can be fun and also therapeutic to allow other
people to see the thoughts that run amuck inside your head and also allows you to have
others comment on those thoughts.

Changes take place almost daily on the internet, and this creates a need for constant
updating, which has led to the growing popularity of blogs. They are used as personal
journals (as mentioned previously) but have also become useful in many other ways.
They can be forums for political platforms, advertising, and even income. Blogging has
now reached the stage where bloggers can both have fun AND make money!

Writing a blog as a way to make money is something that just about anyone can do.
However, not as many have actually made the money they had expected to make. This is
primarily due to two reasons. First of all, people blog with the unrealistic expectation
that if they blog, they will automatically make money almost immediately. This is a false
statement because building a blog readership takes time. This is especially true if the
subject matter of the blog is not as interesting to people as a whole but is instead more
specific to a smaller group. Secondly, blogers do not create a doable plan that will help
lead them to those riches and help them make it through the slower times. Too often,
people set high expectations and then experience disappointment when those
expectations are not met quickly, and then they lose some of the momentum they had for
writing the blogs in the first place.

If you want to make a considerable amount of money with blogs, you have to consider
them as a business instead of just a hobby. You must spend a great deal of time looking
to get website traffic to your site. The more traffic you have, the easier it is to generate
that income.

So, just how can you get that traffic to your blog? You first need to get your own domain
name. You can use some free blogging sites, but it is best to also have your own domain
name to add credibility to your blog. Next, you need to create a plan for how you will
run your blog. You can use blogging software to make it easier, and it is important to
network with other bloggers to help promote each other's sites. Finally, the most
important step is to regularly update your bolg. Add posts consistently, posting four or
five times a week. Include articles that are current and remember that people want to
keep up with the trends.
See sample of a business blog at http:easycash-online.blogspot.com

Take time and put forth the effort to make your blog really stand out. Make it visually
appealing with pictures and videos that are relevant to the content located there. Reach
out to your audience in ways that are applicable to them.

It is difficult to be an overnight success with blogs, but it IS possible to be successful. If
you blog on a topic that you enjoy and you create a business plan for your blog, you are
guaranteed to be successful.

YES you can

Blogging: Understanding Blogs

Dear friend,

Blog is actually a shortened version of the word "weblog." The word is used as a noun
referring to the actual weblog and also as a verb meaning "to edit or post to one's
weblog."

A very simplified definition of a blog as used today would be as follows:
Blog: a journal displayed over the internet that is updated often and is meant for display
to the public; this journal is most often displayed in reverse chronological order.

There are a number of different types of blogs. Each is slightly different in how it is
written or in the way in which it is delivered to the audience.

Media - includes Vlogs (video blogs), linklogs (link blogs), and photologs (blogs of
photographs).

Device - Some blogs are categorized by the type of program used to compose the blog.
Some are done strictly on computer programs while others are moblogs, or those written
on mobile devices such as phones or PDAs.

Genre - A final descriptive element of the blog is the genre or topic area in which the blog falls. For example, blogs typically fall into one subject area such as politics, travel,
consumer products, and/or others.

Most blogs have the same general structure, although some will vary slightly. Below is a
typical blog structure:

Title: This is the 'headline' for the post.
Body: This is the main content of the post.
Permalink: This is a url that will direct readers to a full length article, if available. This
option is not always used, especially in personal blogs.
Post Date: This tells the date and time of publication.
Comments: These are remarks that are left by readers regarding the post.
Categories (Tags): This is usually a listing of previous articles that are related to the
current article.
Trackbacks (pingback): These are links to other sites that are relevant to the particular
blog entry.

Now that you know what a blog is and how one is set up, how can you create one of your
own? Most blogs that are online today are fairly easy to maintain and do not require the
use of a web developer. They are pretty easy to navigate by any normal computer user.
Web applications can help you to easily create or make changes to your blog and to
promote your site to potential readers.

So what is a web application? It is something that can be used by regular internet users
via a network such as the World Wide Web. They are easy to use and require little
installation and memory space to run. With these applications, bloggers can make
updates from just about anywhere in the world as long as there is internet access. This
allows bloggers to easily maintain their blog without having to host their own server.
Many systems suc as Ecto, Elicit, and Blogger let maintain without even being online at
the time. Users can compose or edit without internet connection and simply connect to
publish the blog. Other applications allow a combination of blog and wiki, called bliki.
